Fall is right around the corner, and that means one thing – the folks at Exeter Corn Maze are putting the finishing touches on all the fall festivities set to begin September 8.

Exeter Corn Maze on State Highway MM, is more than just an 8-acre maze. It’s surrounded by a sprawling autumn extravaganza complete with a haunted barn, zombie paintball, a petting zoo, hayrides, pumpkin patches, a pumpkin jump, a zipline, corn and pumpkin cannons, and more. Much more.

“People keep coming back year after year because we are always thinking of new attractions,” said Artie Cole, who owns Exeter Corn Maze with his wife, Robyn.

“We have added a ton of new stuff this year.”

This year’s main attraction is a new go-cart track.

The Coles have also added a 40 x 125-foot barn filled with hay stacks and barn swings for the kids.

Guests will find six new fire pits, a larger corn pit, more seating, more hayrides and more zombie paintball trailers. The zombie paintball trailers are now wheelchair accessible.

The corn maze itself is the big-ticket item, and each year it’s done in an elaborate design the Coles keep top secret until opening day. Beware: starting at 7 pm Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the maze becomes haunted!

With a full concession stand and fire pits to relax next to, families really can spend all day and night at Exeter Corn Maze.

“We are everything fall and Halloween in one spot,” Cole said. “Our slogan has become, ‘It’s just more fun here’ because everybody tells us that!”
