Tell us a little bit about you and what you like to do in your free time.

Most of my free time is spent with my friends, as friendship has been the great love of my life. I enjoy reading, writing, almost every genre of music, dancing, laughing, deep conversation, conspiracy theories, throwing costume parties or any excuse to dress up, and being outside and active in nature. If I’m not listening to music, I’m typically listening to NPR or stand-up comedy. I also write for a local progressive feminist magazine called Julie Joplin.

What do you look for in a partner?

I really enjoy and value my freedom and autonomy so it would definitely have to be someone who treated me as an equal and a partner, rather than property. Intelligence, a big sense of humor and respect for all human beings. Progressive politics are a must. I really enjoy being single so you’d have to bring something truly special to the table for me to consider a serious relationship.

What are your deal breakers?

Ignorance, possessiveness, any type of aggression.

Describe your dream first date.

I always crave adventure and new experiences, so a road trip to a museum or beautiful landmark would be lovely. Especially if I get to be the DJ in the car. I also love live music and independent films.

What’s your favorite love song and why? This is an impossible question to answer, but Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan comes close. Dylan’s voice is at peak haunting in this song, and “the ghost of electricity howls in the bones of her face” is pure poetry.
