  1. Tell us a little bit about you and what you like to do in your free time.

Three years ago, I took a leap of faith and moved to Joplin where I did not know a single soul. I have a daughter in Oklahoma, hence the move. Through transferring my P.E.O. membership, joining Joplin Area Welcome Club and attending First Methodist, I have made a host of new friends and have a very active social life. Joplin truly has become home. I am blessed with three children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. My hobbies run the full gamut – reading, music, cross-stitching, writing, traveling and puzzling are a few. I have Alfie, a rescue dog, who is 13. That translates to 91 years old, so I am living with a male older than I.

  1. What do you look for in a partner?

I am no longer looking, but if I were, kindness would be my top priority. Also, someone who is fun, has a positive attitude and is a good listener.

  1. What are your deal breakers?

Confrontation and negativity would be complete deal breakers.

  1. Describe your dream first date.

A picnic at Laguna Beach on a warm, sunny day would be ideal. Few people and breaking waves would add to my dream date.

  1. What’s your favorite love song and why?

“If” by the musical group Bread, because it was my husband’s favorite. He always requested it be played. The words are deep and poignant.
