Heed this advice, my friends: Make your Valentine’s Day reservations early.


I started dropping hint bombs on my boyfriend in mid-January to reserve seats for a fancy V-Day dinner at Crabby’s Seafood Bar & Grill, and I’m glad I did.


I love holidays and living them up to the fullest, and Crabby’s is the ultimate place for Cupid’s big day, so reservations fill fast. With its dim lighting, intimate seating, sophisticated atmosphere and extraordinary food, it’s perfect for any romantic night on the town – but for Valentine’s Day it’s king.


This year, owner and executive chef Damien Tiregol will serve up a six-course pre-fix meal for $60 with an optional wine pairing for an additional $40. Seating will be at 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:30 pm and 8 pm.


It’s an excellent way to have an upscale dining experience you can’t get just anywhere, anytime. Your relationship is special to you, so make your Valentine’s Day special with a one-of-a-kind meal from FEAST Magazine’s Chef of the Year.


Unhitched this year? It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day to enjoy a specialty coursed dinner from Chef Tiregol. He hosts a bi-monthly dinner party at Crabby’s called the Chef’s Table Dinner. The five-to-seven course dinner seats 22 people and is typically the third Sunday of every other month.


Tiregol said special events like Valentine’s Day and the Chef’s Table Dinners are an opportunity for him to try out some new culinary trends and push the boundaries of what’s expected in Joplin.


“We’ve done wagyu, monk fish, caviars, foie gras,” he said. “Just different kinds of higher-end

foods that are harder to find in Joplin.”
